The
Pacte Industrial, held the 17th meeting of
its General Council on 19th April 2012, at
the Barcelona Activa auditorium.
At
the beginning of the meeting Mr. Carles
Ruiz, President of the Executive Committee,
presented a report on the implementation
of the 2008-2011 Action Plan. The four
presidents of Commissions then reported on
the main points of the activities of the
association.
After
this a document concerning the lines of
working strategies for 2012-2015 was
presented and discussed by those present
at the meeting.
After
passing the 2011 accounts and the budget
for 2012, entry into the Catalan employers'
association Foment del Treball Nacional as
an ordinary member was approved. Mr.
Carles Ruiz was appointed executive
president for a further four-year period
and the following local authorities were
designated to form part of the Executive
Committee:

Barcelona city council
-
Gavà town council
-
L'Hospitalet de Llobregat town council
-
Prat de Llobregat town council
-
Sabadell town council
-
Sant Cugat del Vallès town council
Mr.
José María García Mompel was appointed
Secretary of the Industrial Pact.

Next,
Ms. Sònia Recasens, second deputy mayor
responsible for the economics, business
and employment area of Barcelona city
council and vicepresident responsible for
economic development of the Barcelona
metropolitan area, was appointed president
of the General Council, relieving Mr.
Dídac Pestaña after 6 years in this
post.
The
hon. Ms. Sònia Recasens, new President of
the Industrial Pact, speaks
Ms.
Sònia Recasens made a short speech of
thanks for her appointment and for the
work done by Mr. Dídac Pestaña, and
stated that in the current situation she
considered the Pact an instrument which
has the chance to contribute to the common
goal of economic growth.Finally, before
the close of the meeting, the vice
presidents of the General Council were
appointed:

Mr. José Cachinero, representing the
trade unions

Ms. Maria Rosa Fiol, representing the
employers' associations
-
Mr. Ramon Riera, representing the
municipal corporations
